Today at the Enterprise Hotel in Corso Sempione Milan the General Assembly of Confindustria Marmomacchine was held, which represents the marble supply chain in Italy. The meeting was opened by Dr. Flavio Marabelli Honorary President, who immediately gave the floor to the President Marco De Angelis for the annual report. In the presence of 130 delegates from all over Italy, Dr. Flavio Marabelli welcomed the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Luigi Di Maio, immediately afterwards to the Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Sen. Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, who participated in the panel discussion "ITALY MARBLE CHAIN: VISIONS AND TRAJECTORIES BEYOND THE EMERGENCY". It was also attended by the General Manager of ICE Agenzia, Dr. Roberto Luongo and the General Manager of Veronafiere Spa - Fiera di Verona , Giovanni Mantovani.

During the assembly was elected the new board of directors, among those elected also Arianna Marchetti of Officine Marchetti, part of the marble supply chain for 54 years. A leading company in the production of hydraulic tie-rods and tensioners present in 90 countries. Arianna Marchetti said: "I am happy to give my personal contribution to the Association, to work with high-profile fellow entrepreneurs, alongside leading companies in the stone industry, we are an excellence in the world, we represent made in Italy. We do it with devotion and love for our country. Our contribution to the trade balance is worth over two billion euros, as already mentioned in the assembly, made in Italy is made up of many things and marble is one of these. Arianna Marchetti, exiting the assembly, added: "we must all work to be ambassadors of natural stone in the world, we must explain the centuries-old value of stone, enhancing its sustainability characteristics. We must work to bring technology to the service of natural stone for making it more sustainable and easier to use”.
